If a valet parking company was not already offering you their best price, why would they have to offer a discount? One quasi competitor even claims, “If you have a valid quote from a valet company or shuttle service I will beat there (oops, their typo) price by 30% or more.”  Perhaps in the future they will add that they will beat the price of taxi cabs, limos, dry cleaning service, and the florist too! 

To be sure you are getting what you pay for, get written proof of insurance. (Many experts recommend calling the insurance company to verify coverage, because some fly-by-night companies have provided forged insurance documents.) Check with your tax professional to be sure that the rate charged is sufficient for the valet service to cover not only insurance costs but to cover payroll tax obligations.
